CHAPTER 1

Smith Air was founded in 1967 by James Mooring with 2 employees in a portable building at Hobby Airport in Houston, Texas.

  CHAPTER 2

The company moved operations to Intercontinental Airport in 1969 where we stayed and grew to 18 employees until 2003. During this period we were a GO warehouse, a container freight station and operated an off-site foreign trade zone.

  CHAPTER 3

In 2003 we purchased our own facility and moved to our current address in Houston, Texas.
